The Roofing Company Gave Us Bad News
We knew that the time had come to find a roofing company to fix the leak that had been growing worse and worse the past year. It started very shortly after we had a very strong storm blow through that produced some pretty big hail with it. I did not think that hail could do damage but after researching roof hail damage repair, I have learned that it is very common.
I was given the name of a roofing company that specializes in roof hail damage and called to have them come out and give us an estimate of what it would cost to fix the area on the roof that was leaking. I figured that it would be a few hundred dollars, but when they came back and told me that the entire roof needed to be replaced and then told me how much it was going to cost, I almost fell over.
The roofing company explained that if I would have gotten the damaged area repaired when it first happened, then I may have been able to just fix that spot, but since I had let it go, the roof hail damage area has spread to the rest of the roof. It has just gotten bigger and bigger since we did not have if fixed right away.
