My Boyfriends Funny T Shirts Are Not So Funny
When my boyfriend told me that he had gotten some new funny t shirts, I thought they would he funny like “ha ha” but instead they were funny like “offensive rude ha ha.” I knew that my parents would not like his new funny shirts and we were supposed to be meeting them for dinner that night.
I asked him if he could possibly go home and change and then meet us at the restaurant but he refused. He thought that his t shirt was hilarious and he was going to wear it. I called ahead and told my mother about my boyfriends new funny shirts and explained that I was sorry for any embarrassment that it would cause her to be seen sitting with us. She told me that it probably was not as bad as I was making it out to be but she would try and ignore the t shirt.
When we finally got to the restaurant, the hostess kept staring at my boyfriend’s t shirt and I wanted to crawl under a rock and hide. When she finally sat us with my parents, I could see that they would like to say something about his choice of funny t shirts but instead, we all had a great dinner and lovely conversation that never touched on funny shirts or what my boyfriend’s interpretation of them is.
