Creative ideas for a meaningful New Year’s Eve

Entertainment March 10th, 2008

New Year is one of those times when you really have time with family and friends. And you really would like to enjoy your New Year’s Eve and have a jolly good time. You do not want to upset the first day of the New Year but do everything systematically so that the year head will be special. You may try some of these creative traditions for a meaningful New Year’s Eve.

One of the most popular is the Fondue pot tradition. Fondue is a method of cooking where you eat while you cook. You may try this with your spouse alone or with a group of friends after putting the kids to bed. You may start with cheese breads, toasts, chocolate dips, chicken, beef, cakes, brownies, veggies keep the dishes simple ones and those that would cook fast and I bet you will be eating through the New Year before you realize you have reached the stroke of midnight. It will be a most memorable New Year.

If you need time with your loved one New Year is probably the best time of the year. Spend a romantic time together with candle light and decorations and renew your commitments to each other…it may not seem a very creative idea but let me tell you , you will never forget that New Year all your life. You may even consider a long ride with your loved one right into the New Year and plan eating snacks along the way…you will never want the ride to end.

If you have kids at home and do not want to leave them out plan a party for the children. You could call kids from the neighborhood, have them dressed in fancy costumes, choose a kid for the year award and enjoy. You could keep all their favorite items, prepare New Year gifts for them and not only the kids will have a great time you will enjoy yourself too. Try to encourage your children to try some New Year crafts that will encourage them to enhance their creativity and be involved in the celebrations. You could help them with slightly complicated things and bring out the creativity in your little one this New Year.

New Year’s Eve needs to be meaningful and well spent so think of some time together with your family in prayer and meditation, time when you’ll can look forward to the New year together, talk and laugh and just enjoy yourselves just be together that’s probably the most important. Some other things that you could do this New Year’s Eve may be do something you have never been able to do the last year…something good obviously like a phone call to an old friend whom you have lost touch with or a meeting with an elderly person who is all alone without friends or family or organize a New Year dinner in an orphanage or old age home. You will never have a more meaningful New Year believe me.
